Ecumenical Connections

Immaculate Conception Church actively participates in inner city, interfaith organizations including Knoxville Inner City Churches United For People (KICCUP), Knoxville Interfaith Network (KIN) and Operation Inasmuch.

KICCUP is an organization of Christian churches committed to: bear witness to our oneness in Jesus Christ through corporate worship and cooperative programs; minister more effectively to human needs through the coordination of resources; facilitate the understanding of our unique ministry of downtown churches; foster communications and support among member churches; and promote the Church’s visibility and influence in the decision making process affecting the quality of human life in the city. KIN is an interfaith, interracial organization of congregations to influence public policy in a non-partisan manner. KIN promotes family-friendly business practices and initiated Leave-No-Senior Behind campaign. KIN is actively involved in "Operation Save Our City" a program to help curb the violence we see across our city. For more information click on the Knoxville Interfaith Network button.

Operation Inasmuch is a one-day church-wide local blitz of helping hands helping people "...Truly, I say to you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me." Instead of one big project, an Operation Inasmuch day involves numerous smaller projects that minister to the local community. No project is too small; the hallmark of operation inasmuch is that projects are completed within one-day. For more information click on the Operation Inasmuch button.
