St. Rosamund
After painstaking study in Germany
an
Immaculate Conception Church parishioner discovered there
are two St. Rosamunds both of German decent. One was a virgin and martyr who was praised in a German song. The other
St. Rosamund had a
son who was a soldier and was also made a Saint. We do not know which Saint Rosamund, if
either, is depicted in
this beautiful stained glass window.
Unfortunately, the original records of Immaculate Conception Church have been lost, therefore we will never know for sure who this Saint is.
The lower window is the Bible emblazoned with the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, Alpha and Omega.
