St. Michael the Archangel

In the book of Revelation Michael is credited with defeating Lucifer in battle and successfully driving out the rebellious angel along with his cohorts. In the Book of Daniel Michael is seen as a heavenly prince who stands guard over God's people helping the Israelites return from their Persian captivity. Michael is the first angel given a liturgical feast. The selected date of September 29, 530 marks the day when the church near Rome was consecrated in honor of Michael. Michael shares this feast day with two other archangels, Gabriel and Raphael. The Feast Day of St. Michael the Archangel is September 29th.

The lower window is a Pelican Piercing its Breast which is a symbol of Christ feeding the Church.
