2009 Irish Fest on the Hill
On
Saturday, August 8th
from 4:00pm to 10:30pm about 350 folks attended the
2nd
Annual Irish Fest on the Hill Fund
Raiser. What a fabulous evening!
Again this year there was great entertainment and a wonderful dinner of
corned beef and cabbage, sausage with peppers and onions plus hamburgers and hot
dogs. Traditional Irish music was provided by the
Shamrock Road
band and the
Four Leaf Peat
band. The
Lowland Strings
and
Starland Gypsy
bands also performed.
A great “Silent Action” featured an
Italian Dinner for Eight
prepared by Chef Father Joe and Chef Father Marcos at your home.
A special “thank you” to Becky Birdwell, the Irish Fest committee and all the
volunteers who made the
Irish Fest on the Hill
a huge
success.
And a very special “thank you” to all of you who joined us at our
2nd Annual Irish Fest on the Hill Fund Raiser.
Guests from several
Knoxville Catholic Churches joined us for
the wonderful evening. Through your participation the Irish Fest was a big
success. Funds raised will be used to repair and refurbish Immaculate
Conception’s
Monstrance.
