Advent Workshop   

On Friday, November 20^th from 5:30 to 9:00pm the ninth annual Advent Workshop was held in the parish hall. This year’s theme was centered around “The Star” I, Jesus, am the Bright Morning Star. (Rev. 22-16). Through creative drama and crafts, star stories from Jesus’ genealogy were explored including the Jesse Tree and O Antiphons. The grand finale was  when the Wise Men Women followed the star to Bethlehem. A light supper was served from 5:30-6:30pm. In keeping with the Advent tradition of caring for others, parishioners brought canned good for FISH, items for the Ladies of Charity’s baby layette, and  toys for Toys for Tots. A very special “thank you” to Dorothy Romines who hosted the Advent Workshop, the I.C. Women’s Group and all the volunteers who helped with this wonderful event.
